Erw Gerrig Holiday Cottages nestle in the heart of the beautiful Ceiriog valley. The three stone, self catering, holiday cottages are only five miles from the world famous Llangollen, in North Wales, near the Welsh/English border and not far from Oswestry. Erw Gerrig Cottage and Valley View Cottage sleeps five and Spring Cottage sleeps two
Our three centrally heated holiday cottages, Erw Gerrig Cottage, Valley View Cottage and Spring Cottage, are all part of a C16th barn conversion and sleep between two and five (+ cot if required). They are fully equipped to be a real home away from home, with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, crockery and all other utensils, comfy sofas and beds which all have quality linen, Sky television (Freeview), shower rooms (bathroom in Erw Gerrig Cottage) and parking to the rear. Erw Gerrig Cottage also has a wood burner.
The cottages are ideal for lone travellers, couples and/or families looking for a quiet, peaceful holiday away from it all and the cottages have been graded in the past by The Wales Tourist Board and were awarded Three Stars. Please read about our rating.
You can stay for a short break holiday or for a longer holiday of a week or two.
Our prices include all bed linen with beds made up (except cots), electricity and heating. Towels can be supplied if required. The cottages can be booked for either week-long (or longer) holidays or for short breaks.
There are a number of country pubs, all serving food, within a five or ten minute drive, two of which are within walking distance (just over a mile), partly along the old Ceiriog Valley Tramway by the river. There is an excellent, very reasonably priced taxi service in the area if you wish to go further and there is also a bus stop outside the farm just down the lane. The nearest shop is open seven days a week and is just over a mile distance. There are numerous walks right from the doorstep leading in virtually all directionsincluding both the Upper Ceiriog Way and the Lower Ceiriog Way.
Just a couple of minutes walk away is Pandy Mill, which was a fulling mill dating from 1365 and is now an independent art gallery specialising in glass art, paintings, textiles, and sculptures in wood, together with a comfortable tea room overlooking the Rivers Ceiriog and Teirw.
